The Castle served as a depository for the safekeeping of royal and Empire coronation jewels, relics of saints and an archive of state documents.
The journey to Karlstejn Castle from Prague should take about 35 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. The drive will take you through some nice scenic Czech countryside to the town of Karlstejn.
